Two print cover options
The Smidgen Press reprint of this 1949 classic by Christine Noble Govan is being offered with two cover options. Early readers mentioned that the green cover concept, which most echoed the original, was hard to read on screens, so the lighter color we’ve dubbed “the parchment edition” cover is what will be displayed on all sales pages for ebooks.
For print, though, we kept both the green and the light-colored editions! So you have a choice.
We will update the links below as stores approve these editions.

Printable recipe downloads
For this book, since Mr. Hermit Miser’s neighbors gifted him a cookbook at the end, we added some pumpkin recipes that he might have found in his book! These are from magazines and books ranging between 1914-1926. Terri Shown, our cover designer, coordinated the recipes with the cover design, and we turned those into a printable download you can request from this page.
